Obituary of Carrie Nell Morris

Carrie Nell Morris, better known by all as "Granny Nell", passed away on January 14, 2022.  Born in Kingstree, SC on September 16, 1944, she was married to the late Wadene E. Morris for over 50 years.

She was the loving mother of 4 sons: Ken Morris (Stephanie), Kevin Morris (Becky), Kirk Morris (Dawn Beatty) and Kerry Morris (Vesta); 11 grandchildren: Celeste Mills (Andrew), Chelsea Morris (Thad Smith), Crystal Williams (Dylan), Madison Morris, Shelby Morris, Lily Morris, Ciera Morris, Cameron Morris, Emma Morris, Caleb Morris, Clay Morris, Mason Morris, twins Archer and Dexter Smith; and one adopted daughter, Stacy Allen.

Visitation will be held at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 from 6:00-8:00pm. A visitation will also be held the day of the service, on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 from 1:00-2:00 at Springdale Baptist Church, 357 Wattling Rd, West Columbia, SC, with the service starting at 2:00pm. Burial will be held immediately after the service at Celestial Memorial Gardens, 3111 Delree Street, West Columbia, SC.
