Lillian Roman-Valentin

Obituary of Lillian Roman-Valentin

Our mother, Lillian Román-Valentin was born on July 27, 1925, in Aguada, Puerto Rico. She was married, for almost 48 years, to our dad, Ariel Badillo-Anazagasty (an Army Veteran). They had their good days and not so good days, but they stayed together until our father passed away 22 years ago. They had one daughter, Sandra Badillo, and a son, Lester Badillio, married to Margarita Badillo. Our mother had four grandkids: Anibal Frederick Arroyo, Maria de los Angeles Mercado, Marles Reichard, and Isaac Badillo. She had the blessing to know four great-grandkids: Sarah Elizabeth Mercado, Lucas Maxwell Reichard, Alice Dahlia Reichard, and Aurora Joy Badillo. For her kids, she was her "Mami," for her grandkids and great-grandkids, she was their "Abuelita".

One of her favorite things was spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed playing dominoes, cards ("Briscas"), and boardgames, especially Bingo, Chinese Checkers, and Parcheesi.

She has left us with a legacy and influence that not many people are left with. She was a very strong woman! But at the same time, with her acts, she taught us the beauty of selfless love and the caring for her family.

Mom, we will miss you, but you will always be in our hearts and memories. Thank you so much for the LEGACY!
