Obituary of Danny K. Beasley

Danny K. Beasley passed away on December 6, 2021. Born on September 4, 1948, Danny was born to Frances Boykin Lucas and Don Beasley in Columbia, SC.

Danny Beasley was an avid NASCAR fan, #3 Dale Earnhardt was the man. He enjoyed working on cars as a mechanic, mostly earned his living as a tow truck driver, and later in his life, as an entrepreneur with Beasley Enterprise Inc. Danny served his country honorably in the United States Army from 1967-1970 in the Vietnam War. He enjoyed fishing, collecting Hess trucks, hot rods, and Beach Boys music.

His greatest love was being a grandad. He was affectionately known as “Gramp” to his grandchildren, save for Josie, who as a child knew him as “Hims”, which tickled him. Danny will be deeply missed by his friends and family.

Danny is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 44 years, Mary A. Beasley; and his brother, Steve Beasley.

He is survived by his sister, Kathy West (Roy); sons, Joseph Beasley, and Travis Beasley; grandchildren, Alex Beasley, Josie Beasley, Nathan, and Mollygrace Beasley; and niece and nephew, Todd West (Mary) and Tammy Burns (Joe).

Danny will be laid to rest at Fort Jackson National Cemetery on Tuesday, Decemeber 28, 2021 at 3:00pm.
