Obituary of Peter Otto Pacheco

Peter Otto Pacheco, 68, passed away at home, with his mom by his side, on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, due to heart related illness. Born on October 31, 1953 in Ellhofen, Germany, he was a son of Gisela Pacheco and the late Jose A. Pacheco-Toro.

Peter graduated from Cristobal High School-Panama Canal Zone in 1973, where he attended the High School Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC). He also served in the US Army. Peter received an Associate Degree from Midlands Technical College, excelling in all types of automotive services and repairs, and loved learning any new trade or craft. He was a man of many talents who loved his family, and especially loved dogs.

Surviving are his mother, Gisela Klara Pacheco of Columbia; sisters, Andrea Evans-Wolfe (Steve) of Columbia, and Patricia P. Batten (Vincent) of Lexington; brothers, Michael J. Pacheco, and Angelo J. Pacheco, both of Columbia; nephew, Bryan R. Evans (Kimberly); great nephews, William, Noah, and Andrew; niece, Clory E. Foust (Payton); great nieces and nephew, Britton, Berkley, and Beckett Foust; nephew, Vincent Odom Batten; and many extended family members, friends and business associates who were like family to him. Peter will be truly missed by many. 

A private memorial and family graveside service will be held at a later date. Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park is assisting the family.
