Carolyn Louise Lesesne passed away peacefully on October 31, 2021 and entered her eternal home after fighting a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease. Born September 14, 1956 in Columbia, SC, she was the daughter of Robert Monroe and Louise Lee. She is now free from her earthly body and present with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Carolyn attended Eau Claire High School in Columbia, SC. She loved gardening and kept a thriving homestead garden most of her life. Carolyn enjoyed antiques, especially Coca-Cola and Elvis memorabilia. She also loved the company of animals, and shared her life with many dogs and birds over the years. Carolyn was a fitness fanatic and maintained a rigorous gym schedule her entire adult life. Above all else, Carolyn was a proud mother and made sure that her two daughters never went without.
Making people smile was one of Carolyn's greatest joys in life. She enjoyed giving gifts and cooking for her friends and family. She loved to listen to music and have a good time, as she was a fan of Elvis and would occasionally join her daughters at karaoke. Carolyn lived a full, adventurous life and will be sorely missed, but her legacy lives on through her husband, daughters, and granddaughters, and with each of us.
Carolyn is survived by her husband, James 'Pat' Lesesne; her mother, Louise; her brother, Robert Lee; two beloved daughters, Sheena Franklin and Emilie McConnell; and four precious granddaughters: Norah Franklin, Natalie Franklin, Naomi Franklin and Harper McConnell.
“We are confident, and willing to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.”
II Corinthians 5:8
