Obituary of Sharon Marie Carter

Sharon Marie Carter, 60, of Lexington, wife of Dennis Roy Carter, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, October 22, 2021 from a courageous battle with cancer.  She was born on July 30,1961 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Eugene Elmer Kulcsar and Darlene Mae Kulcsar.

In addition to her loving husband of 37 years, left to cherish her memory are her two children, Rachel Caughman (Kyle) and Grayson Carter; three grandchildren, Brandon, Gracyn, and Rhett Caughman; brother, Bernard Kulcsar (Shirley); and several nieces and nephews.

One of her greatest pleasures in life was serving the Lord and others.

For many years Sharon taught computer education to kindergarten through sixth grade students at Lexington Elementary School while also providing technology support to staff members.  Later she worked as an executive assistant at NaturChem, Inc. for the last 18 years.

Please join us in celebrating her life at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 30 at Water’s Edge Church located at 101 Ball Park Road, Lexington 29072.  Prior to the celebration of life ceremony, the family will greet friends beginning at 1:00 PM.  Following the ceremony, a fellowship meal will be provided per Sharon’s request.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
