Obituary of Amy Denise Herkenrath

Amy Denise Herkenrath, 43, of Lexington, SC, gained her wings on October 3, 2021. She was born on June 23, 1978, at Modesto City Hospital in Modesto, CA to Charles (Jeff) Hedden, and the late Lora Lynn Hedden of Waterford.

 

Amy was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt and friend. Amy never met a stranger. She loved to be surrounded by her loved ones. Amy devoted her life to her husband and three children. She had such a wonderful big heart and was always there to help. She enjoyed vacationing with her family and making memories. She will always be remembered for her beautiful smile and her contagious laugh.

 

She is survived by her husband, Eric A. Herkenrath; daughters, Savannah M. Bentulan (23) and Abigail L. Herkenrath (13); son, Zachary A. Herkenrath (9); father, Charles (Jeff) Hedden (MonaLisa); sister, Melissa L. Leonardo (Tim); brother, Charles (Jeff) Hedden Jr. (Amanda); grandparents, Charles and Laura (Vivian) Hedden; in-laws, Tony and Betty Herkenrath; and her brother-in-law, Brian Herkenrath (Christine).

 

She was preceded in death by her grandma, Charlotte Sisco of Oakdale; mother, Lora Lynn Hedden of Waterford; and daughter, Hope Herkenrath.

 

A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington, 4720 Augusta Road, Lexington, SC 29073. Visitation will take place at the funeral home between 11:30-1:00 on the day of the service.
