Obituary of Martha Wilson Browder

Martha Wilson Browder went to be with the Lord on October 3, 2021. She was born to Murray Jackson Wilson and Ethlyn Ruth Wilson on January 4, 1940 in Columbia, SC.

Martha is preceded in death by her parents, Murray and Ethlyn Ruth Wilson; her husband of 47 years, Richard M. Browder; and her sister, Connie Wilson Walker.

Martha is survived by her children, Martha Louise Browder Dailey (Michael Timothy); and their family, William Edward Dailey, Molly Kathleen Dailey Chamberlain, and grandson, Mathias Jebediah Dailey; Steven Victor Browder (Carolyn Annette); and their family, Steven Richard Browder, Adam Lee Browder, Kevin Murray Browder, Robert Browder, Lauren Victoria Browder, and 16 grandchildren; and Jonathan Mark Browder; and his family, Sara Louise Chandler, Jonathan Richard Browder, Christina Noreen Browder Odom, Christopher Mark Browder, and 13 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandson. She is also survived by her sister, Polly Wilson Richardson; and many nieces and nephews.

Martha was a member of Sharon Crossroads Methodist Church for the last 10 years, as well as a member of the Olympia High School Alumni. She was a RN nurse in the VA Healthcare system for 25 years, from which she retired in Columbia. Martha loved to go fishing and anything to do with the South Carolina Gamecocks. Above all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren. Martha was the type of person who loved everyone she met and those that were loved by her knew they were loved.  She will be deeply missed by her friends and family.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at 1:00pm, Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington, 4720 Augusta Road, Lexington, SC 29073. A visitation will take place at 12:00pm, prior to the service.
