Obituary of Janice George Coxe

Mrs. Janice George Coxe, born in Dillon County, Dillon, SC Oct. 25^th, 1947 went to be with the Lord on September 30^th, 2021. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Charlie George and Mrs. Martha Morris George. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Graham Coxe, her sister, Carolyn Quick (Legrand), her brother, Emery George Sr. (Lena), and her aunt, Margaret George. Janice is survived by her sister, Virginia Gerald (H.L.), her brother, Charlie George.

Janice was married to her husband, Ernest Coxe, on Nov. 18, 1962 until his passing in 2002. They were the parents of three daughters, Lisa Coxe, Victoria Coxe, and Delina Coxe, and one faithful and loving adopted son, Thomas Lee Cox. She was the Grandmother to 5 grandchildren, Justin Herring, Joshua Herring, Jonathan Herring, Erica Lee Cox, and Stephany Cox, and 4 Great-Grand Children, Hunter Herring, Kiley Herring, Leah Faith Herring, and Logan Tyler Herring.

Mrs. Janice was retired from many different jobs over the years, last of which being the food industry. She was an active and faithful member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Gaston, SC. She loved all the members there dearly and felt very blessed to have as her family in the Lord. She also loved the Stone and Williams Families, who had all become her own. She would also like to state her love for her former pastor and his family, the Rolands, as well as the current pastor and his family, the Hanks. She will now rest with the Lord at Mt Pleasant Baptist Church. She would like to give a special acknowledgement her former pastor, Rev. Richard C. Alderman and his wife, Martha who was another sister to her. Mrs. Coxe would like to ask that all rejoice in her homecoming with the Lord. She is not gone, just away in Glory. She will be awaiting all to join her. She also asks that any who are lost to be saved and join her in Glory.

A service for Mrs. Janice Coxe will be held at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church on October 7^th, 2021 at 11 am. Burial will follow the service at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Mrs. Coxe and the family asks that memorials be made to the Camp of Gideons.
