Obituary of Barbara Jean Isenhoward

Barbara Jean Isenhoward, 72, of Elgin, wife of the late Joseph Danny Isenhoward, passed away Monday, September 27, 2021.  She was born on January 6, 1949 in Columbia to the late Ocia Layton Hagins and Virginia Dewlett Padgett Hagins.

She is survived by two sons, Joseph D. Isenhoward Jr., and Kevin S. Isenhoward; one daughter, Sherry Berry; two sisters, Nancy Altman, and Thelma L. Harrington (Fred); one brother, Hoyt Hagins; one grandchild, Joshua Isenhoward (Christon); and one great-grandchild, Triston Isenhoward. In addition to her loving husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Iola Long; and one brother, Tommie Hagins.

A funeral service will be held Monday, October 4, 2021 at 2:00pm in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. The family will receive friends from 1:00-1:45pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens of Columbia.
