Obituary of Patsy Lee Kelly

Our mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Patsy Lee Kelly, at the age of 74, became our angel on August 17, 2021. 

Born in Columbia, South Carolina to the late Charles Edward Kelly, Sr. and Susie Jane Rogers, she was also preceded in death by her sisters, Jeanette “Jenny” Starnes and Barbara “Bobbie” Hannah along with her brother, James Donald “Donnie” Kelly. 

Mom spent her childhood in Blythewood, South Carolina before relocating to Columbia where she raised her family. 

Greenview Drive Inn was run for over 30 years by Patsy and her sister Linda. It was this experience that led her to become the assistant deli manager at Piggly Wiggly, previously, Harris Teeter. 

While she treasured her countless collection of angels of every size and shape, her most valued treasure was her grandson and the apple of her eyes, BMSN Joshua Morgan, who is currently serving his country. “Goldie”, her beloved long haired, Chi Hua Hua will miss her along with the rest of our family.

Those who are now covered by her angelic spirit are her daughter, Debbie Morgan; grandson, BMSN Joshua Morgan; sister, Linda Kelly; brothers, Lewis Leroy Kelly and Charles Kelly; niece and caregiver, Angela Corteville, in addition to numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
