Obituary of Michael Anthony "Tony" Wood

Michael Anthony “Tony” Wood passed away on August 16, 2021, at his home in Columbia, SC. 

Tony was born on October 1, 1960, in Union, SC, to the late Clarence and Judy Enlow Wood. He was preceded in death by his father in 2004, his mother in 2010, and brother, Robbie, in 2015. 

He attended school in Columbia, SC, and later joined the United States Air Force.

He married his high school sweetheart, Sylvia Gotch, and together they had two daughters, Briana Lesh and Ashleigh Wood. Tony and Sylvia later divorced, and Sylvia preceded Tony in death.

Tony spent his entire adult life working in the construction and home remodeling industry. He was always very proud of the work that he did.

He is survived by his brother, Wendell Wood; his two daughters; several grandchildren; his uncle, Chuck Enlow; his aunt, Melanie Judy (Andy); cousins, Shane Judy, Jason Judy and their children. Tony is also survived by his long-time girlfriend, Cheryl Carmen. Also preceded in death by his uncle, Johnny Enlow. 

Tony will be cremated under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Columbia, SC. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
