Obituary of Corrine Ann Elkin

Corinne Elkin, 48, of Columbia, passed away on July 29, 2021. Born in Jackson, Michigan, she was a daughter of Ronald Langlois and the late Dorothy Bradshaw. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who never met a stranger, and instantly “adopted” everyone whom she met. She was a talented artist who hand-made blankets and dream-catchers for her family. She enjoyed writing poetry, and watching a wide variety of movies, just not horror movies! Corinne was an animal lover, and her beloved pit bull, Chino, is now living with her daughter, Christieonna. She loved large, and was loved by everyone.

In addition to her father, Corinne is survived by her fiancé, Juan Carlos Lopez; daughter, Christieonna Yeager of Columbia; sons, Michael Langlois (Myra) of Carry, Illinois, David Elkin (fiancée, Jade Mack) of Columbia, Jessy Gonzalez (Chey) of Columbia; daughter, Bethany Gonzalez (Antonio) of Columbia; grandchildren, Kimberly Langlois, Paris Gonzalez, Niomi Elkin, Alexis Yeager; sister, Donna Bowen (Billy) of Michigan, Lori Langlois (Omar) of Michigan, Chrissy Langlois of Michigan; brothers, Ronald Langlois and Joey Langlois; the father of her twins, Jose Gonzalez; and a large and loving extended family. In addition to her mother, Corinne was predeceased by her grandson, Jonathan Yeager; her sister, Alicia Henry; and her step-father, Bill Bradshaw.

A Celebration of Life Gathering for Corinne will be held at a later date to be announced. Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park is assisting the family with arrangements.
