Obituary of Margaret Lucy "Markie" Reeves

Margaret Lucy "Markie" Reeves, 67, passed away on July 14, 2021. Markie, as she was lovingly known, was born in Columbia, SC to the late George and Lucy Reeves. Markie graduated from the University of South Carolina with a degree in English. After graduation, she proudly served in the Air and Army National Guard and retired as a Master Sargeant. She also worked for Seibels Bruce, IBM and Blue Cross and  Blue Shield. 

Left to cherish her memory are two brothers, Michael Reeves (Mary) of Eastover, SC and Paul Reeves (Carmen) of Prosperity, SC; one sister, Mary Jo Kiser (Jim) of Hopkins, SC; one nephew, Daniel Kiser; two nieces, Shannon Somerville and Brandy Hutchinson; and three great nephews, Bailen Somerville, Emerson Somerville and Chase Hutchinson.  

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at 2:00pm at Fort Jackson National Cemetery.
