Robbie passed away peacefully on May 18, 2021 in Columbia, SC. Born April 23, 1935 in Memphis, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Herbert Thomas Milton and Nina Lester Cash. Robbie attended Messick High School and Mansfield Community College.

A lifetime music teacher of more than 60 years, Robbie was a member of the SC Music Teachers Association and the Columbia Music Teachers Association. She taught piano and organ lessons in her home and at Rice Music House.

Robbie was a convert and longtime member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served many church callings in the music field as choir director, chorister, pianist, and organist, as well as music positions in various church auxiliaries. Late in her music career she offered lessons at no charge to church youth to ensure the church would have ongoing music resources. Robbie served three church missions. Salt Lake City, Utah, Church Family History Center September 1994 - September 1995, Sonora California Family History Center October 1996 - October 1999, and the Columbia, South Carolina Family History Center January 2004 - July 2005. While on her mission in Salt Lake City, Robbie also served on her day off in the Salt Lake Temple as one of the many organists for the live sessions. She will be known best for her deep and abiding testimony of Jesus Christ. Robbie hosted a weekly bible study and dinner for local missionaries, neighbors and friends, and church investigators in her home on Friday evenings for many years. Robbie served the Savior quietly and valiantly all her days as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

The greatest and most noble of Robbie's achievements was that of wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She is predeceased by her husband, Dock Johnson, sons Lyle Keith Ross (Bette Ann), George Wayne Ross, and daughter, Robbie Dean Ross Donath (Walter). She is survived by daughters Lorna Ross Brown (Dan), Deborah Ross MacDonald (Marion Gee), Deanna Johnson Lyman (Edward), son Jason Harrington Johnson (Jaime), stepson Carl Allen Johnson (Elaine), sisters Wilma Ward Hardin of Florida and Barbara Milton Darnell of Tennessee. She was blessed with 14 wonderful grandchildren and 13 precious great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to express gratitude to Crescent Hospice Care of Columbia for their tender and expert care and to Robbie's dear friends from her Senior Living Community. We are ever grateful for the kindness and compassion of the many employees of Mill Creek Manor Senior Living who went above and beyond their duties to care so well for Robbie.
