Obituary of Roland Omer Pelletier

Roland Omer Pelletier, 83, of West Columbia, SC, was called home on May 1, 2021 to meet his Savior. Born in Lowell, MA on July 14, 1937, he was a son of the late Leo Arthur and Marie Beatrice Camire.  

 

Surviving are his two children, Michael Pelletier of Lexington and Donna Pelletier (Tom Michalski) of Blythewood; and three grandchildren: Kyle, Daniel and Matthew. Mr. Pelletier was predeceased by his wife of 58 years, Bessie Rickenbaker; and two brothers, Robert and Ronald, both of Lowell, MA.

 

Mr. Pelletier was an Air Force veteran and served his country well in Okinawa and Saudi Arabia in the 1960's.  He was also a member of the American Legion Post 0510.  He was employed by Alpine Sales for 28 years and was a faithful member of Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church. Mr. Pelletier was a devoted family man, and enjoyed gardening and researching genealogy.

 

Mr. Pelletier will be laid to rest at Fort Jackson National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church.
