Obituary of Elease Alsbrooks Richburg

Elease Alsbrooks Richburg, 89, of West Columbia, wife of the late George Wilbur Richburg, passed away on Friday, April 16, 2021. She was born in Clarendon County on October 21, 1931 to the late Jacob Gordon Alsbrooks and Lattie Childress Alsbrooks. 

She is survived by, one daughter, Cheryl Peitz (Mike); one son, George Wendell Richburg; four sisters, Betty Richburg, Jeannette Matthews, Hazel McGregor and Naomi Pugh; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Zuline Thomas and Alvinnie King and brother, Eddie Alsbrooks.

The family will receive friends from 6:00PM until 8:00PM on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at 11:00AM in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Burial will follow at Southland Memorial Gardens.
