Obituary of Sara Harrington Mills

Sara Harrington Mills went to her Heavenly home on March 23, 2021.  She was welcomed with open arms by her mother Ruby Bryant Harrington Callahan and father Willie Oscar Harrington, her husband Malcolm Mills, her twin sister Sandra Koon Mahaffey, and her brother Leonard D. Harrington, Sr. after a valiant battle with a very aggressive lung and autoimmune disease. 

Sara was a God fearing woman who loved the Lord and was a devoted member of New Day Church of God where she served on the Finance Committee for 4 years. She worked as a billing and insurance specialist for Low Country Billing for over 20 years until her retirement in 2018. 

She is survived by her only child, Susan Roberts; grandchildren Kristen Roberts Sons (Cody), Kaitlyn Elizabeth Roberts, and Tanner Michael Smith who were the light of her life; four brothers, Fred (Lynn) Harrington, Larry (Donna) Harrington, Paul Kevin (Sheila) Bryant and Jimmy Walton; three sisters Jean Ann (Joe) Rauch, Brenda Irick, and Millie (Joey) Connor; two pets who she loved very much, Milo and Odie.

The family will receive friends at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington, 4720 Augusta Road, Lexington, SC 29073 on Friday, March 26th, 2021 from 12:30 pm to 1:45 pm.  Funeral services will be held immediately after visitation at 2:00 pm.  Interment to follow at Southland Memorial Gardens.
