Obituary of Leilani Yvette Hunter

Leilani Yvette Hunter was born on January 21st, 2019 in Columbia South Carolina. She was the daughter of Iyahnna Gabrielle Jackson and Ronmez Hunter. Leilani departed this earthly life peacefully at home surrounded by her love ones on Monday March 22, 2021 due to Neuroblastoma.

Leilani was a joy and brought happiness to everyone she was in contact with. She loved her cupcakes and chocolate. Her favorite things to do was to sing and dance. She loved her some Moana and Poppy. She was learning her animals and their sounds. Her favorite was a tiger, and she could Roar. Leilani could count to 20 and would give us concerts singing her favorite songs. Leilani loved her mom more than life itself. Leilani was the BOSS and she knew it! Being outside was her passion and had to have her shades on. Leilani and her uncle CJ had a very special bond that could not be broken. 

Leilani was diagnosis with Neuroblastoma stage 4M on February 17th, 2020. She fought a tough battle for over a year. She is one tough cookie. No matter how bad thing got she did not let that stop her from letting her light shine on others.

Leilani Yvette Hunter is survived by her Mother Iyahnna Gabrielle Jackson, Father Ronmex Hunter and Dad Shaquan Chamblee of South Carolina. Her Grandparents Yolanda (MiMi) Daniels, Wallace Howard Sr. of Columbia South Carolina, and Angel Figueroa of Charlotte North Carolina. Her Great-grandparents Deloris and Bob Macy of Columbia South Carolina, Linard and Elena Daniels Petersburg Virginia. Her two Uncles DeCarlo Figueroa and Wallace (CJ) Howard Jr of Columbia South Carolina. Her Great-Uncles Linard Daniels JR (Tionia Daniels) of Camden South Carolina and Clifford Williams of Columbia South Carolina. Her Great-Aunts Daniella and Gabriella Daniels of Petersburg Virginia and a host of family and friends. 

The family would like to give a special thanks to Abby Oster her clinic nurse for her unconditional love and care.
