Obituary of Albert Robert Verlinden

Albert R. Verlinden, 91, passed away on Friday, March 19, 2021. He was born on September 19, 1929 to the late Joseph Henry and Miriam Kennaugh Verlinden.

In addition to his parents, Albert was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Verlinden; brothers, Joseph K. Verlinden and Frankie Verlinden; and nephews, Rusty Verlinden and Gary Verlinden.

Albert is survived by his daughters, Pat Cicchino (Lou), Lynn Roof (Brent), Teresa Melton (Mike); son, Robert Verlinden (Richard); grandson, Tanner Roof; and nieces and nephews.

Albert was retired from the US Postal Service, a US Army veteran, and a member of Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church. He was a loving father, grandfather and friend who will be missed by all.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, March 22, 2021 at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington, 4720 Augusta Road, Lexington, SC 29073. Visitation will be held prior to the service at 12:00pm.

Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
