Obituary of Ronald L. Riley

Ronald L. Riley went to be the Lord on March 6, 2021. He was born to the late James and Mildred Riley on August 18, 1945 in Wilmington, DE. Ronald is preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, James Riley. Ronald is survived by his wife and soulmate of 28 years, Kathy Riley. He will be remembered by his sons: James (Angie) Young, Scott Riley, Jeffery (Becky) Young; daughters: Sherri (Robert) Stewart, Ashlee (Ben) Stein, Jeannie Roton; brother, Harold (Pat) Riley; and his 16 grandchildren.

He attended high school in MT. Pleasant Wilmington, DE and received his diploma in 1963. Ron joined the Air Force in 1967. While in the Air Force, he joined the bowling team which he loved. He was released from active duty in 1969 as a Sergeant. Ron had a successful business that he owned in Jacksonville,  NC. When he moved to South Carolina, he went to work for Southeastern Satellite which he retired from. Ron was known for being very outspoken and sometimes a tough cookie to deal with. He loved many aspects of life, including Elvis, vanilla pudding, his animals, and most of all, his wife. He loved camping and cooking on the grill while listening to music. He loved his football and the South Carolina Gamecocks. Ron will be remembered as a good husband, father, and friend who looked after his family and who loved life to the fullest.
