Obituary of Catherine Louise Brown

Catherine Louise Brown, 96, of West Columbia, SC, passed away on February 8, 2021. She was born on June 24, 1924 in Chapin, SC to the late Arthur and Georgia Frick Arnold.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Lewis Brown; her sons, Woodrow Lewis Brown, Jr and Glenn Arnold Brown; granddaughter, Tammy Louise Ward.  

Louise is survived by her daughters: Helen Annette Threet and Margaret Louise Lineberry; and three sons: Donald, James and Laverne Brown; along with 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 17 great-great-grandchildren.

Louise liked to stay active by bowling, gardening, quilting, walking, traveling and playing rummy. She was an active member of Green Hill Baptist Church. She retired from Allied Chemical Company after many years of service. Above all, Louise treasured time spent with family.

The family will receive friends at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington on Thursday, February 11, 2021  from 5:00-7:00pm.  Funeral services will be at 11:00am on February 12, 2021 at Green Hill Baptist Church, with burial to follow in Southland Memorial Gardens.
