Obituary of Harriett Henschel

Harriett Henschel passed away Friday, February 5, 2021 in Columbus, Georgia. She was born in Marion, SC to Tom and Helen Torri. Her family moved to Columbia, SC when she was 11. Harriett retired from nearly 30 years of employment at the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina and was an avid Gamecock fan. 

Harriett was predeceased by the love of her life, her husband, Bill Henschel.  She is survived by her son, Larry Jacobs, Jr.; daughter, Troy (Dan) Herlihy; stepson, Jim (Diane) Henschel; grandchildren: Nicole (Sarah) Santana, Tyler Henschel, Kent and Jacob Herlihy; brothers: John Torri, Tommy (Linda) Torri, Bobby Torri; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held for Harriett at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park at 11:00am on Friday, February 12, 2021. Her burial will immediately follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Rd. Columbia SC. 29209.
