Obituary of Jordain Rickardo Sutherland

Jordain Rickardo Sutherland departed this life on December 26, 2020 at Lexington Medical Center, in South Carolina. He was born in Falmouth Trelawny, Jamaica, to his proud parents Ann Marie Sutherland, of Columbia, South Carolina, and Herman Sutherland, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Jordain was preceded in death by his grandfather Harris Brown. Jordain came to the United States in the year 2006 and started his life in Columbia, South Carolina.

Jordain attended AC Flora High School and graduated in 2012. Jordain was highly active in school. He played various sports in high school and later played soccer for South Carolina United. Although Jordain had many accomplishments in life being a part of Fort Jackson Navy Seal Academy, was a proud moment and a memory he cherished. After graduating from AC Flora High School, he returned in 2013 through 2014 helping coach the girls’ varsity soccer team. In 2016 he became the assisting coach for the team. Jordain attended Midland Technical College for a short while studying law enforcement. Jordain decided law enforcement was no longer his passion. He decided to pursue something he enjoyed. Jordain started his dream of lawn and home renovation with M and G Landscaping, where he was currently employed until his passing.

Jordain leaves to cherish his beautiful smile his mother Ann Marie Sutherland, father Herman Sutherland, his brother Brandon Sutherland, grandmother Carmen Pugh, three aunts Marcia, Maxine, Marlene, one uncle Anthony, Adriana and Christine who was like aunts to Jordain, and a very close friend Catherine Floyd and other family and dear friends.

Ann Marie would like to give a special thank you to the Lexington Medical Oncology Group, and MUSC Hollings Cancer Center, Charleston, South Carolina, for the special care that was given and shown to Jordain during his battle with cancer.
