Obituary of Peggy G. Kashmer

Mrs. Peggy G. Kashmer went to be with the Lord in the early morning of December 21, 2020. Peggy was born on June 27, 1932 in Brookford, NC to Elbert and Gertha Griffey. 

Peggy Kashmer spent most of her professional career in the manufacturing sector after which she retired to spend more time with her family. She was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church as well as a model wife and mother to her husband and children. In her free time, Peggy enjoyed Country Western dancing with her husband and spending time with her family.

Peggy is preceded in death by her parents and multiple brothers and sisters. Peggy is survived by her husband, George Kashmer; her sons and daughter, Jeffrey E. Sloan, Michael F. Sloan, and Teresa C. Sloan; her step children, April Iriel, Cindy Coleman, and Brenda Kashmer and her grandchildren, Emily F. Sloan and Elizabeth R. Sloan.

Services will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Thompson Funeral Home, 4720 Augusta Rd. Lexington, SC at 12:00pm. Visitation will begin at 11:00am prior to the service and a committal service will be held at Fort Jackson National Cemetery at 2:00pm the same day.
