Obituary of Sandra Elaine McFaddin

Sandra Elaine McFaddin 76, passed away on November 26, 2020. She was born on August 18,1944 in Tampa, FL, to the late Homer and Jessie Mae Gunter. Sandra is survived by her daughter, Tammie Richardson of Columbia, SC.

This is the part where we should list what she did in life, instead we will list how she lived life. It’s what she would want. Sandra lived life to the fullest with joy and compassion. Her smile was contagious and she never met a stranger. Everyone was her friend. If you ever took her shopping, you would know because she would be found talking to someone she never met. She never left the house without full face make-up and hair (she loved her hair) and always dressed her best wherever she went. Let’s say she loved compliments and she was sure going to do her best to get them. She could be loud at times and always spoke her mind. She was honest to the core. She was spoiled with love as a child and as an adult by her daughter.

She was the youngest of three, a sister Patricia Kaigler and brother Jerry Gunter.

Sandra loved to laugh and have a good time. She had a simple life and that was fine by her. She made the best of every minute of it. She had a little daredevil in her. The family’s version of fun was riding motorcycles and go carts on weekends or drag racing (she drove the race car). She would pack the neighborhood kids up in the van every weekend to take her daughter and friends to the local swimming hole or skating rink. She loved Halloween and would dress up every year up until the last couple years of her life. She was the life of the party and she gave as much as she got.

Sandra was very involved with her church. Always heading up or being involved in the kids activities. She was childlike herself and loved being surrounded by her daughter and the other children. She never lost that inner child up until the very end. Sandra loved hard and if you were a recipient of that love then you know what I mean. She loved her family and her kid with an unwavering strength. She adored her friends and would tell you what she thought whether you liked it or not. That was her way. She was the best of the best.

She was a fighter. What a fighter she was. She fought for everything she got in life. If you knew her the last two years of her life, you would know that her health was not good. She fought hard and became a warrior and oh, what a warrior she was. But God had other plans and in the end she went with peace, dignity, grace and love, because that’s the women she always was and is.

There will be a Celebration of Life to be held at her daughter's home after the holidays, and what a Celebration it will be.
