Obituary of Stanley D. Swihart

Stanley D. Swihart, 87, of Lexington, SC, died peacefully at home surrounded by his family on the morning of November 18, 2020. Born on June 15, 1933 in Ohio and was the son of the late Jacob Lehr and Marie Swihart.

He was affectionately known as Pop or Stan to all that knew and loved him. He was a member of the U.S. Air Force and Korean War veteran. He was a jack of all trades in his career days and a lover of golf and bowling.

Stanley is predeceased by his parents, Jacob Lehr and Marie Swihart. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Julia, his four children; Mike (Lisa) Swihart, Sharon (Kevin) Shealy, Mark Swihart, and Susan Seay; 9 grandkids; and numerous great grandchildren.

The family will have a service at Fort Jackson cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Fresenius Medical Care of Lexington and VFW post #8738 in his honor.
