Obituary of Rita Lynn Smyser

Rita Lynn Smyser, 39, of Hopkins, SC, born January 24, 1981, to the late Gary Ogg and Joanne “Jody” Sullivan (John), went to be with the Lord on November 5th, 2020. 

A 1999 graduate of Lower Richland High School, she worked for H&R Block as a tax preparer and office manager since 2014. She was a life member of VFW Auxiliary 8738 Lexington. She was a wonderful wife, loving mother, daughter, friend, and coworker. She will be missed by all. 

Rita is survived by her mother of Lexington, her husband, John “Paul” Smyser, her children, Stephen “Alex” Smyser, Paige Smyser and John Smyser, all at home, and numerous aunts, uncles, in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins.
