Obituary of Arthur Bradley Cooper

Arthur Bradley Cooper, of West Columbia, South Carolina, passed away unexpectedly on October 20, 2020, at the age of 57. Born in Columbia, South Carolina, Artie graduated from Airport High School and went on to become a lifelong learner, receiving Bachelor’s degrees from Brigham Young University (BYU) and the University of South Carolina (USC) in Accounting and Nursing, respectively. He earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from USC. Artie served a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Los Angeles, California. He was a compassionate caregiver, working as a registered nurse for over 20 years in many different healthcare settings. Artie loved the mountains and visited as much as he could. He greatly enjoyed driving through the canyons while listening to bluegrass music. He would often take his family camping in the Smokey Mountains, a beloved memory his children share. Artie loved his family, children, and grandchildren fiercely. He will be profoundly missed. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard, and his mother, Deraldine. He is survived by his five children: Amber (Daniel), Aubrey, Alissa, Adam (Abigail), and Aidan, three grandchildren: James, John, and Thomas, and four siblings: Ricky, Kenny, Cindy, and Scott. A memorial service will be held in his honor, Sunday, October 25th, at 6:30pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1330 Whippoorwill Dr, West Columbia, SC. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked any donations to be given to Spectrum Academy, 552 N Cutler Dr, North Salt Lake, UT, (https://www.spectrumcharter.org/), a charter school for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder where his son Aidan attends.  Family and friends may sign the online guest book at www.thompsonsfuneral.com.
