Obituary of Bobby Gene Plant

Bobby G. Plant, 89, of Elgin, SC, passed away at his home on October 9, 2020.

Born in Nashville TN, he was the son of the late Herman C. and Mary Cooley Plant.  He was a retired US Army Veteran and a recipient of the Bronze Star Medal (1st OLC), the Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal, Army Commendation Medal (2nd OLC), Vietnam Campaign Medal w/DVC 60, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry w/Palm, and Combat Infantry Badge.

Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Mrs. Reba Elizabeth Moore Plant, son, Maurice V. Plant of Gilbert, AZ, daughters, Cynthia D. Plant of Lexington, SC, Linda J. Enloe of Columbia, SC, Victoria L. Whatley of Elgin, SC, Debbie Cash of White Plains, MD, grandchildren, Shane, Josh, Jacob, Josiah, Tiffany, and Rob, and great grandchildren Kobe and Maci.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 AM Thursday, October 15th at Fort Jackson National Cemetery with military honors.
