Obituary of Elizabeth McGuffin Dodgen

Elizabeth McGuffin Dodgen, 59, of West Columbia, passed away September, 26 2020. She was born February, 9, 1961 to the late Lester and Mabel Senn McGuffin. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her sister, Bonnie Heddy and nephews, Reggie Heddy and Clint McGuffin.

Elizabeth was a 1984 graduate of the University of South Carolina. After working in retail sales, she enjoyed being a wife and mother to her sons. She was a member of St. David Lutheran Church and was an active WELCA member (Mary group).

She survived by her husband, John; sons, Thomas Benjamin and Anthony James; brothers, James McGuffin (Doris), Robert McGuffin; and sister, Carol Collier (David).

A family service will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at 11:00am at St. David Lutheran Church. Burial will be in St. David Church Cemetery. Friends may gather at gravesite beginning at 11:30am. Face coverings and social distancing are requested. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials made be made to St. David Lutheran Church or a charity of ones choice.
