Obituary of Johnie Adkins

Johnie Albert “Bubba” Adkins, 82, of West Columbia, husband of June Harwell Adkins, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2020.  He was born in Columbia, SC, on October 19, 1937, to the late John Henry and Naomi Ann Richburg Adkins.  He retired from the R. L. Bryan Company.

 In addition to his wife, he is survived by  his children, Gay Y. Coley (Joe); Barbara A. Hamm (Chuck); and Johnny A. Adkins, Jr. (Pam);  six grandchildren, Micah J. Pace; Tristan L. Chavis; Al Adkins; Christopher Hamm; Drew Hamm; and Justin Adkins.   four great-grandchildren, Grayson Pace, Zachary Pace, Isabella Chavis, and Harper Adkins; one sister, Susan Carter, and one brother, Durham Adkins.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 29, 2020, at Celestial Memorial Gardens, 3111 Delree Street, West Columbia, SC  29170. Officiated by Pastor Joe Coley Jr.
