Fred was the ultimate professional Supply Sgt Sergeant for Charlie Company in the States and n Vietnam. I will always remember his smile when I offered him the position of Supply Sgt. His face lit up like a Christmas Tree. Whenever the Company needed something, Fred always found a way to find it. We shared many fond times and special supply initiatives together, especially the time we shipped some special liquids to Vietnam, which were welcomed by all during our first unit party. Our friendship lasted well after Vietnam. I will miss him, and look forward to the time when we can meet again. Charlie 6, Out!

Fred was my Supply Sgt in Colorado and went with us when the 5th "Red Devil" Division flew to Viet Nam in July 1968. I was a Platoon Leader and later Company XO. We worked well together. He could be pretty "crusty" but was a true professional and always came through in a pinch. I was proud to serve with him. Rest in Peace, Red Devil

What an amazing Uncle he was to us as children and as adults. He called often to say hello, ask a question about the real estate market or just to check on us and make sure we were doing okay. He was funny, serious when he had to be but you knew that Uncle Fred loved you to the moon and back. He adored his great nieces and always asked about them and their family. I can't wait to see him and other loved ones in Heaven one day. You will be missed, until we meet again. Marlene & Family & Dogs.

I was deeply saddened by the passing of Fred. His soul did not die; he is with Jesus and all health problems are no more. May God bless your precious family as they face the coming days without you. Their assurance of knowing where you are will bring all of them much peace. I think I still have every pen that Fred ever gave me. Love to all of you.
