Obituary of Henry Gamewell Keels

Henry Gamewell Keels, 91, of West Columbia, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 27, 2020. Born in Goldville, SC on July 4, 1928, he was the son of the late Shuford Henry and Anna Marie Adams Keels and the husband of 57 years to Patsy Ann Treece Keels. He served in the US Army as a soldier in the Korean War. He was self-employed installing air conditioners and ice makers. He loved hunting and fishing, and enjoyed cooking fish for fish fry’s. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

In addition to his wife, Henry is survived by his daughter, Pattie Mikell (David); granddaughters, Janine Mikell and Melanie Yoder (David); great-grandchildren, Harper Yoder and Hudson Yoder; sister-in-law, Daisy Hartin (Jim); nephew, Johnny Treece; great-nephew, Joshua Treece (Leigh-Ann); as well as Penny Treece and Caleb Treece.

A graveside service will be held for immediate family only at 11am on Thursday, July 2^nd, at Elmwood Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Wes Church.

Due to the circumstances surrounding COVID-19, the familly suggests that all in attendance please wear a mask.
