Obituary of Jean Marie (Cowper) Stone

Jean Marie (Cowper) Stone passed away June 15, 2020. Mrs. Stone was born in Port Huron, MI and has resided in Columbia, SC since 1961. She was loved and will be remembered by many as the neighborhood mom, and impacted many lives beyond those of her own family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alonzo Richard Stone and sons Lon Lee Stone, John Frank Stone, and son-in- law, Robert E. Driggers. She is survived by her children Richard Stone, Bonnie Driggers, Rodney Stone (Phyllis), June Kimbriel (George), Robert Stone; niece Peggy Cuevas; thirteen grandchildren, and twenty-one great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Friday, June 19, 2020 at 11:00am at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park is assisting the family.
