Obituary of Jean Carolyn Epps Glenn

Jean Carolyn Epps Glenn, 87, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 15, 2020. Born in Williamsburg County, SC on April 10, 1933, Jean was the daughter of Ada Cleola “Bill” Buddin Epps and Edward Epps. She graduated from Kingstree High School. Jean was the widow of Julious Earl “Gator” Glenn.  Surviving is daughter Cherlyn Glenn Anderson and son-in-law John Eric “Rick” Anderson. Additional survivors include grandsons Jonathan Trent Anderson (Kellie), James Travis Anderson (Penelope), great-grandchildren Braylon Connor Anderson, John Eric Anderson II, and Annika Lyn Anderson, Brother-in-law L.R. “Punk” Glenn and wife Jeanette Glenn, six nieces and nephews. Jean was pre-deceased by her husband Gator, grandson John Tyler Anderson, and two brothers in-laws, sister in-law, niece, and many cousins.

Jean worked for over 35 years at National Welder’s Supply Company in Columbia, SC, earning her the CB handle “Welding Lady.” Jean loved The Golden Girls, racing, shagging to beach music, and margaritas. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

The family would like to thank the nurses and caregivers at Opus Post Acute Center the past three years and Pathways Hospice for their tender care. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your church or favorite charity. During this time, the service and burial will be for immediate family only.
