Obituary of Elizabeth Bellinger Moseley

Elizabeth “Betty” Bellinger Moseley, 76, of Sandy Run, wife of Brice Howard Moseley, Sr., passed away March 15, 2020 following a brief illness.

 

Born July 23, 1943 in Columbia, SC, she was the daughter of the late George Kinsler and Frances Edge Bellinger. Betty retired from Colite Corporation as a project manager. She was a proud member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). Betty was also a member of Sandy Run Lutheran Church where she was very involved on the Church Council, Lutheran Women, sang in the choir, produced the church bulletins weekly and participated in many charitable events both at the church and in the community. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother whose joyful spirit, generosity, and dedication to the service of others impacted all those around her.

 

Surviving are her husband Brice Howard Moseley, Sr of Sandy Run; son, Brice Howard Moseley, Jr., (Gayla) of James Island; daughter, Dawn Elizabeth Moseley Taylor of Sandy Run; daughter, Melissa Platt Moseley Lindler (Carroll, Jr.) of Irmo; grandchildren, William Theodore Taylor, ll, of Sandy Run (Stacey Altman); Ashley Bellinger Taylor Shurtzer (Kenneth) of Sandy Run; Cameron Reed Lindler (Sophie) of Greenville; Cassidy Faith Lindler of Clemson; Kinslee Elizabeth Moseley, Ashlynn Iva Moseley, Haylie Brice Moseley of James Island; great-grandchildren William Theodore “Trey” Taylor, lll, and River Colt Taylor of Sandy Run; sister, Jane Bellinger Wannamaker (Bill) of Hopkins; brother, George Kinsler Bellinger, Jr., of Lexington; niece, Beth Wannamaker Beale (John) of Greenwood; nephews, Bill Wannamaker, Jr., (Laura) of Columbia; and Ken Bellinger of Lexington.

 

Private funeral services will be held at Sandy Run Lutheran Church with the Reverend Richard C. Inman officiating. Burial will be in the Kaigler Davis Family Cemetery.

 

Pallbearers will be William Theodore Taylor, II, Ashley Bellinger Taylor Shurtzer, Cameron Reed Lindler, Kinslee Elizabeth Moseley, Cassidy Faith Lindler, Ashlynn Iva Moseley, Haylie Brice Moseley, William Theodore (Trey) Taylor, III and River Colt Taylor.

 

The family would like to express their gratitude for the support and prayers extended to them during the illness and death of their loved one.

 

The family suggests that those desiring to make memorials may do so to Kaigler Davis Cemetery or Sandy Run Lutheran Church.
