Obituary of Andrew Parham Temple

Andrew Parham Temple ,70 passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2020. 

A native of Columbia, South Carolina. He was the son of James W. Temple Sr. and Thelma Parham Temple , he grew up in Columbia, South Carolina and graduated from Dentsville High School. Andy had several careers in his lifetime.  He worked for Pepsi Cola as a District Manager in earlier years and later owned a local mobile home park where he cared for numerous families.  He retired and developed into a fine cabinet maker before working for the United States Postal Service.  Andy was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing at Columbia Country Club where he was a member for many years.  He excelled in billiards and enjoyed softball and bowling in his early years. Andy will be remembered for his kind, generous heart, infectious laugh and incredible love for family and life.    

He is survived by his wife Patricia Kumpf Temple who he celebrated life and love together for nearly 23 years, daughter  Laura Dawn Temple-Barton (Tyler) of Blythewood and Step-Son Mitchell Lee Boyce (Amy) of Columbia. one brother Joseph Randall Temple  of Columbia, Sister-in Law Janet Zolko Temple of Charleston and six grandchildren Laura Elizabeth Barton, Ethan Andrew Barton(Dawn & Tyler), Hannah Lee Boyce Rutland (Cooper), Dylan Scott Boyce, and Tyler Oneal Boyce (Mitch & Amy)

He is predeceased by his parents ,  a sister, Patricia Gail Lilly and two brothers, John Franklin Temple and James Wesley Temple Jr.  A memorial service will be held  at 1:00p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn, conducted by Rev.Trevor Scott Barton . The family will receive friends and family at the daughter’s home following the service. 120 Runneymede Dr. Blythewood, South Carolina.
