Brian Foster

Obituary of Brian D Foster

Brian D. Foster, 45, resident of West Columbia, passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2020.

Brian was a devoted husband, loving son, thoughtful brother, and goofy uncle, who easily made friends with everyone he met. Brian had a habit of collecting things, and a difficult time letting them go once he gave them value in his mind. He refused to waste anything he paid to have, and was somehow more attached to things he was given for free. The outcome is a silly collection of paper napkins, plastic utensils, condiment packets, and toothbrushes. But what is most amazing about this compassionate soul is that the whole time, he was collecting people. He was a careful steward of your love, affection and friendship. If you gave freely to him with a smile, laughter, or intellectual exchange, no matter how brief, he held it and valued it in the highest. You are forever a friend and loved one. His heart was mighty and his love boundless.

A celebration of life service will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, March 28th at the Thompson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel. There will be a time of music and the opportunity for friends and family to share wonderful stories of the things that made Brian so loved.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to the Marfan Foundation, www.marfan.org.

Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington is assisting the Foster family.
