Obituary of Jeffrey L. Winsted

Jeffrey L. Winsted, 52, of Sandy Run, South Carolina, husband of Sara L. Winsted, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2020. He was born on May 11, 1967 in Florence, Alabama to Jimmy L. Winsted and Brenda S. Winsted. He was the owner of Winsted Electrical and a preacher of the Lower Richland Church of Christ in Hopkins, SC.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Sara L. Winsted; one son, Brian A. Winsted; and two daughters, Abigail E. Winsted and Emily R. Winsted. In addition to his wife and kids, Jeff is survived by his mother, Brenda S. Winsted (Harrison), sister, Sarah K. Steen (Winsted) and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy L. Winsted.

Jeff was loved and respected by his family and friends and was known for his generosity and kind heartedness. He was a quiet soul who devoted his life to providing for his wife and kids and preaching the Word of God.

The family will receive friends Monday, March 2, 2020 from 2 P.M. until 2:45 P.M. at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park at 845 Leesburg Road. A graveside service will be held at 3 P.M. following the visitation in Greenlawn Serenity Gardens with Brad McCleeary officiating.
