Obituary of Quentin David Grubbs

Quentin David Grubbs age 37 of Columbia, passed away suddenly January 1, 2020.  Born December 19, 1982 in Roanoke, VA., to David Southern Grubbs Jr. of St. James, MO and Terri Jones Stones of Hopkins, SC.

He is survived by his greatest accomplishment, his son, Quentin David Grubbs Jr.; his fiance, Tonya McKean of the home and a step son, Zion McKean of Clemson, SC. His parents David and Terri; four siblings, Amanda (John) Burckhard of Columbia SC, Justin Stone of Hopkins, SC, Britney (Carlos) Ortega of Waynesville, MO and Tiffany (John) Joyner of Moore, SC. Five precious nieces and five nephews, and his maternal grandma, Beverly Hale. 

He was employed at Lizard's Thicket and was a 30 year native of SC. He loved Nascar and was a huge Washington Capitals hockey fan. 

He was preceded in death by his Nana, Sue Grubbs and his grandfathers, David Southern Grubbs Sr., Quentin Reeves Jones, Jr. and Wayne Hale.

The family will receive friends for a visitation on Saturday, January 4, 2020 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 5, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
