Obituary of Billy Wade McPherson

Billy Wade McPherson, 82, of West Columbia, passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2019. Born in Burlington, NC on August 24, 1937, he was a son of the late Junie and Christine Thompson McPherson and the husband of the late Barbara Kellam McPherson.

He was a US Army veteran, retired master diesel mechanic and craftsman who enjoyed woodworking, restoring vintage vehicles, specifically his 1979 Chevrolet truck. Billy was a gentle kindhearted person who loved spending time with people especially his family. He was an active member of Mt Hebron United Methodist Church.

Billy is survived by a daughter, Benetta Albaugh and husband Brent of West Columbia; two brothers, Clarence McPherson (Brenda) of Snow Camp, NC and Clyde McPherson (Dot) of Graham, NC.

A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, December 15^th at Mt Hebron United Methodist Church in West Columbia. A memorial service and interment will also be held at 1 PM on Wednesday, December 18^th at Pleasant Hill Christian Church in Liberty, NC.
