Obituary of Shari Brooks Whisonant

Shari Brooks Whisonant, 33, wife of Zeke Whisonant, resident of Columbia, passed away on October 8, 2019 at Lexington Medical Center.

Born May 31, 1986 in Lexington, SC, she was the daughter of Lamar and Ann Brooks. She was employed with Richland 2 School District as a teacher at Polo Road Elementary. She loved her school family and the children that she nurtured over the years. She was a member of Holland Avenue Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband and parents she is survived by a brother, Richard Fowler and his wife Karyn of Atlanta, GA; nieces, Madelyn, Ryleigh, Kaelyn, Khole and nephew Jase; Uncle Kyle and Aunt Sandra Goodman, and Aunt Becky Brooks, as well as a number of other family members, her school family and many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her brother Steve Fowler, grandparents Dickie and Sharon Brooks and Maggie Fisher.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 3 PM, Sunday, October 20th, at Holland Avenue Baptist Church with the Rev. Dow Welsh and Rev. Don Bell officiating. The family will receive friends at the church immediately following the service.
