Oh mama! Where do I start? You were my rock and my best friend! As a little girl I can see you sitting at the sewing machine making all my cloths and shelling peas with me on the carport. You took me to every dance class, pageant and so many visits to the Veterans Hospital to entertain and spend time with those who served our country. You taught me service to others through Christ was so important and that has shaped me into the person I am today.
The love and care you have given to your husband, children, grandchildren and greatgrands has been unconditional and you gave 100% freely. Don’t worry about Daddy which I know was your greatest concern during your final days! I will be there to hold him and care for him on this tough journey.
I was blessed with our time together and will cherish being there as you took your last breath and left this world and pain behind. I love you for always. I love you forever! Run to Jesus and dance on those streets of gold!

I really don’t even know where to start. From pulling weeds and planting flowers in your garden with you to you making every last one of my football games you were able to. I have so many memories with you that will be engraved into my memory for the rest of my life. I don’t remember a single time when there wasn’t a smile on your face and you were willing to do anything for me. I’ve never met a more kind soul in my life. There is so many things I’ll miss doing with you, from our lunches together, to our Halloween weenie roast, our Christmas lunches, and so many more things that just won’t be the same without you. I can’t wait to see you again nanny, I love you.

R.I.P. to my life hero. Now you are my Angel in heaven. Everything you gave and nothing you would take, Nothing you would take Everything you gave. As my heart hurts deep I will find peace knowing your pain is over. Now you can do all the things you once were able to do without limits. I will dearly miss you Mama. Your impact on Dillon Elrod and Zach Elrod can’t be measured but only felt in their hearts. You spent your life placing others before yourself. Thank You Mama for teaching me to be a simple man and to never chase the rich mans gold. Thank you Mama for loving Marie Arnold Elrod no less than anyone else in the family. I am grateful that I made it to your house to hold your hand, kiss you, say I love You and tell you goodbye before they took you away. It’s a difficult time but I know you would only want me happy. I love you Mama hold it down up there until I see you again.
I miss you like Crazy!
