Obituary of Charleen Grace Schrum

Charleen Grace Schrum, 84, of Lexington, South Carolina passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on July 22, 2019.   She was born on April 24, 1935 in Eagle Pass, Texas to the late Homer Rum and Rozine Rum Smith

Charleen found great joy spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.   She enjoyed traveling with her family.  Even though she was small in stature her heart and love was as big as Texas.  Charleen had a very deep faith that she lived by daily.  She will be greatly missed by friends and her family. 

Charleen is survived by her son, Glenn Lee Schrum Jr.; her daughter, Cathy Loftus and her husband, Joe; and her son, Ted Schrum and wife, Cindy; her granddaughter, Michelle Tkach and her husband, John and their three children; her granddaughter, Libby Lee and her husband, Chris and their two children; her grandson, Jason Wilkinson and wife, Alicia and their three children; and her granddaughter, Grace Schrum.  She is also survived by Amanda Nix and her husband, Spence and two children; Rebecca Williams and husband, Austin and their two children.  Charleen is survived by her sister, Pat Speigel and her husband, Bill; her brother, Leslie Smith; and many loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Schrum.

The family will receive friends at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington on August 1, 2019 from 10:30AM - 11:00AM. A Memorial Service will follow at 11AM.   Pastor David Spears will be officiating.
