Obituary of Edward "Eddie" Wayne Jeffcoat

Edward “Eddie” Wayne Jeffcoat, 69, of Lexington, passed away on Tuesday June 18, 2019. Born in Columbia on March 7, 1950, he was the son of the late Murray Jennings and Dorothy Levenia Jeffcoat and the husband of Dianne Griffin Jeffcoat. Eddie enjoyed working in his yard, picking pecans, and raising chickens. He loved his dogs, old Westerns, and Michael Jackson. He was a loving husband, father, and brother, and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

In addition to his wife, Eddie is survived by his sons, Robert “Bobby” Jeffcoat, Jason Jeffcoat (Ashley), and James “Jay” Hodge; a daughter, April Harmon; his first wife, Debra Yates; a sister, Marie Roof; and his grandchildren, Carson, Parker, Paisley, Perryn, Katelyn, Jason, Jordan, and Julian.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ernest Jeffcoat; and sister, Joyce Ard.

Visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Thursday June 20, 2019 at Thompson Funeral Home- Lexington. The funeral service for Mr. Jeffcoat will be held at 10am on Friday June 21, 2019 in the chapel at Thompson Funeral Home- Lexington, officiated by Pastor Brandon Sandifer. Interment will follow in Lybrand Cemetery.
