Obituary of Raymond Wallace Boulware, Jr.

 

West Columbia….. Raymond “Ray” Wallace Boulware, Jr., 60 of West Columbia entered into eternal rest on June 5, 2019. Born June 22, 1958 in Columbia, SC to the late Raymond Wallace Boulware and Lois Jordan Boulware. Ray was an avid golfer who was a member of Golden Hills Country Club. He was a frequent hunter and fisherman, who loved the outdoors and was a member of the NRA. A huge Gamecock fan and lover of football and baseball, one of Ray’s favorite pastimes was Saturdays with friends at “Mater Headz”. Ray was a loving husband, father, brother and friend who never met a stranger. He was commonly known as a “work father” to many, Ray worked and retired form UPS after 36 years of service. He is survived by his daughter, Megan Crain (Mark); son, Matthew and granddaughter; Olivia Rae Crain, due June 12, 2019. Ray also leaves behind sisters; Claire Copeland (Donald, Deceased), Vickie Lefler (Mike), and brother, Richard Boulware (Nancy). He also loved several nieces and nephews, his dogs; Kaylee, Leila, Toby, and his cats; Meeko, and CoCo. In addition to Rays parents, Ray is predeceased by his wife, Pamela Ralston Boulware. They were married on June 7, 1986. The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Friday June 7, 2019 at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington 4720 Augusta Road, Lexington, SC 29073. Funeral service for Ray will be held 10 AM Saturday June 8, 2019 at Trinity Baptist Church  2203 Charleston Highway, Cayce SC 29033. Burial will follow in Woodridge Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lung Cancer Foundation of America, 15 South Franklin Street, New Ulm, MN 56073. Website, www.lcfamerica.org in honor of Pamela Boulware.
