Obituary of Charles Lee Silcox Jr.,
Charles “Chuck” Lee Silcox Jr., of Columbia, South Carolina, born on September 29, 1957 in New Bern, North Carolina, to Rose Silcox and the late Charles Lee Silcox Sr., passed away at age 61 on May 4, 2019 in Waynesville, North Carolina.
He was a graduate of The University of South Carolina. Chuck proudly served his country and retired from the US Army in 2013. He fought bravely in Operation Desert Storm and the Gulf War. He was awarded the Bronze Service Star, The Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, The Kuwait Liberation Medal, and The Combat Medical Badge, and The NATO Medal.
Chuck is survived by his son, Chad Silcox; daughters, Jennifer Booth (Cory) and Ashley Dent (Brett); sister, Anne Silcox; and grandchildren, Carly Booth, Ethan Booth, Berkeley Dent, and Jett Dent.

Friends and family can attend the graveside service at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, May 8th at Fort Jackson National Cemetery where he will be recognized with full military honors. Thompson Funeral Home - Lexington is handling arrangements, 4720 Augusta Road, Lexington, (803) 764-9631.
