Obituary of Elaine Lybrand Teague

Elaine Lybrand Teague passed away on Monday, April 1, 2019 at age 71.  Born May 27, 1947, she was the daughter of the late George Marion Lybrand and Adine Johnson Lybrand.  She is survived by her son, David T. Teague; daughter, Shannon Teague Wilson; son, Daniel L. Teague and his wife Ashley; grandchildren, Kayla Wilson, Emily Teague, Abigail Wilson, Matthew Teague, Megan Wilson, Madeline Teague, and Kaitlyn Fisher.  She is also survived by her sister, Brenda Lybrand Venuti and her husband, Joseph; nieces: Rachel Venuti Bullock and her husband, Paul, Sarah Venuti Yates and her husband, Philip; grandniece, Mabel Yates; and her best friend since childhood, Patricia Jeffcoat. 

After graduating from Eau Claire High School in 1965, Ms. Teague received a degree as an Administrative Assistant.  She worked for the Palmetto State Teachers Association, South Carolina PTA, and retired after serving over 20 years as the Administrative Assistant for the South Carolina office of SACS/CASI/AdvanceED.  She grew up attending Ridgecrest Baptist Church and moved her membership to Springdale Baptist Church after moving to Cayce.

Ms. Teague was a dedicated and loving mother and adored her grandchildren who were her constant joy.  She loved the beach where her family continues to gather every year and she was an avid reader and seamstress.

Visitation will be at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington on Friday, April 5, 2019 from 11:00 a.m.  -  12:00 p.m.  Funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m. in the Thompson Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will be in Southland Memorial Gardens.
