Obituary of Josephine Bradshaw Long

Josephine Bradshaw Long, 88, died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on March 5, 2019.  The family will receive friends for a visitation at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park on Sunday, March 10, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow immediately in the funeral home chapel.  Mrs. Long will be laid to rest in Greenhaven Cemetery in Elgin, South Carolina.

Born on October 15, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Fornie and Jesse Bradshaw. She was a graduate of Furman University and was a religious education director, a school teacher for many years and a navy spouse for 20 years. She was married to Rev. Robert A. Long for over 50 years.

She is survived by her daughters, Jo Lynn McFetridge, Rebecca Ann Long and Martha Amelia Hatcher (Donnie); a sister, Bobbie Hipps; and a brother, Rush Bradshaw.  Josephine will be greatly missed by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, her husband and a son-in-law.
